- Poland Road Trip: Final note
[:en]First time in Zakopane and rented a lovely apartment in a modern chalet from AirBnB.
The city center of Zakopane is becoming very touristic, especially during summer period.
Originally wanted to do the trail to Morskie Oko (The Eye of the sea), which is the largest lake in the Tatra Mountains and may be the most popular trail. On the suggestion of the concierge, we went for the trail of Five Lake Valley. Indeed, the alpine mountainous scenery along the trail of Dolina Pięciu Stawów (The Valley of Five Lakes) is spectacular!
I must say that the scenery is some what similar to what I can enjoy in the nearby alpine mountains where I live.
Yet no doubt that the views are absolutely breathtaking (and a bit due to the hiking too)!
Yes, you can normally see 5 lakes along the trail but the first lake with crystal clear water was good enough for me to soak my feet and take the sandwich (and later on head back to the civilization). It took me around 7 hours of hiking in total!
P.S. Great photos of the trail to the Valley of Five Lakes by other adventurers here.
