- Poland Road Trip: Final note
[:en]After 5 hours of boat cruise on the famous Elbląg canal, a visit of the Old Town Elbląg seems obvious.
Almost all the monuments are damaged or destroyed during the World War II and are reconstructed after the war.
Visited the Old Town and climbed up to the top of Market Gate and St. Nicholas Cathedral.
The panorama of the old city on top of the cathedral is magnificent! We can see a lot of empty field/land.
Next to the Cathedral, there is a historical Church Path –this enchanting passage between tenement houses is one of its kind architectural historic places in Poland. It’s a path between the brick houses which historically connected three churches.
Took a free tourist tramway ride from the city to Bazantarnia Forest Park and took a walks in the forest!
For dinner, I ate in a typical Polish (and Lithuanian) restaurant in the old town, Lithuanian dishes (beetroot soup and zeppelins with mushrooms/Cepelinai/potato dumplings) in Poland… as there are more treats for vegetarians!
One day discovery of Elbląg instead of one weekend!
Saw weired/cute signs on the road…
Waited more than 4 hours in the bus station as the bus to Krakow arrived more than 3 hours late![:]
