[:en]Kraków, my favorite city in Poland! Came back here for the second time.
Second time here with great sunny weather of August!

Would love to come back here soon!

1978: UNESCO World Heritage Site

In 1978, Pope John Paul II was elevated as the first Salvic pope ever. The entire Krakow historic center (Old Town) is listed as UNESCO World Heritage Site.

2000: European Capital of Culture

Krakow is named as European Capital of Culture in 2002, among other cities such as Prague in Czech Republic, Avignon in France, Brussels in Belgium, Reykjavík in Iceland (my next destination maybe!)…

2016: World Youth Day

Krakow will host the World Youth Day (WYD) in July 25-31 2016. This will be a tribute to recently canonized St. John Paul II.

My favorite place is of course the old town center, the Market Square,  where there are Cloth Hall, Town Hall Tower, St. Mary’s Basilica…
